Touchscreen Cleaning and Maintenance

• Any standard glass cleaner can be used to clean the screen, avoid products containing ammonia.
• Always spray the glass cleaner on the cloth or towel and then clean the touchscreen.
• Glass cleaner sprayed directly on the monitor can leak inside a non-sealed unit and cause damage.
• Dirt and fingerprints do not affect the operation of a properly sealed touch screen.

Touch screens that have a deep scratch or gouge in them may be damaged and cannot be corrected with software. If the cursor is fixed in one spot, and returns back to that spot (even though a mouse was used to temporarily move it), means that the touch sensor is damaged or defective.

For Infrared touch screens, scratched glass has no effect on performance because the frame itself registers touch and the glass is only for added protection and accuracy.
